This project developed in conjunction with a local Bike Non-profit and through initial collaboration with Alex Jermyn, explored a resilient modification of Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island in the middle of San Francisco Bay.  The incorporation of a bike lane along the New Bay Bridge allows for an alternative means of transportation, already becoming prevalent because of auto congestion, to become a driver for a new proposed residential live/work development.  By creating Treasure Island and Yerba Buena island as a bike-centric city, it ties together a network of wetland based bicycle infrastructure that rings the entire perimeter of the San Francisco Bay.  This new Velo City would utilize tidal shifts as a source for energy and as a key driver of development.  Additionally, the development was conceived to utilize solar panels, wind energy, and the capturing of fog to create an off-grid development that ran as zero-energy.  The total development was conceived as providing over 6400 homes.
