Although R/A/D pllc is an organization based around collaboration, it is primarily the brainchild of Jason Buchheit.

Jason has over 20 years of experience working on almost every project type imaginable (museums, hotels, multi-family residential, university buildigns, office buildings, a border station, community buildings and disaster relief).  He has worked for well renowned offices such as Richard Meier + Partners, Polshek Partnership (now Ennead), Garrison Architects, Resolution: 4 Architecture, and Diller Scofidio + Renfro.  Jason was part of a mass-customizable building system start-up called Global Building Modules, which sparked his long-standing interest in developing prefabrication and modular architecture.  For Global Building Modules (GBM) he acted as Associate Head of Research and Development, developing patents and patent applications, the front end user interface, the tie-in to the manufacturing oriented Building Information Model, and initial applications of the system including a high-end residential condo at the corner of Great Jones and Lafayette in NYC.

Over the years, he also was a founding member and founding Director of Architecture for Humanity New York (AFHny) and a founding member and Strategic Advisor of Architecture for Humanity Austin and Architecture for Humanity San Francisco (AFHsf).  Jason has taught at Pratt Institute and lectured at Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Art.  He has presented at the Urban Drift Conference in Berlin, Germany, had a short film exhibited at Res Fest, had his work with AFHny exhibited at the Urban Center in NYC,  and had his work part of travelling exhibitions for the Open Architecture Network Challenge for the Pescadero School project.

R/A/D pllc is based in New York City, but has a worldwide network.  It is a collaborative office that's goal is to design real and novel solutions to problems within the built environment.
